LIMITATION OF NON-MEMBRANE PROCESS

bacillus-bacteria-150709

Since decades biological process have been employed for water and wastewater treatment. This biological process applies various combination of bacteria culture in suspension (ASP, SBR) or in attached form (MBBR, SAFF, FAB) for reduction of organics and in-organics from wastewater.

Post treatment separation of these bacterial species from treated water has been a major limitation in all the above mentioned process. Plants with these process have high foot print, limitation on organic removal and need for extensive tertiary treatment.

These technologies suffer from:

a. High foot print

b. Limited COD removal capacity (below 10 ppm BOD)

c. Extensive requirement of tertiary treatment

d. Expensive and limited automation

e. Regular sludge removal

Hollow Fiber based membrane bioreactor offer unique alternate to the above applications.

HOLLOW FIBER FOR BETTER TREATMENT

bioflocs page 1

BioFlocs is a Membrane Biorector which employs Hollow fiber membrane modules for solid liquid separation from wastewater. Hollow Fiber membrane are hollow tubes with pore size ranging from 0.1 to 0.04 micron. Such  a pore size is able to reject majority of solids and bacteria present in the bioreactor. Typically these membranes are made of PVDF material , but  on request we can provide other materials also.

Hollow Fiber membranes are submerged inside the bioreactor for direct solid liquid separation. Such BioFlocs is also called a Submerged Membrane Bioreactor (SMBR). Bioreactor designed in this manner can be applied for wasetwater treatment, water treatment and range of other application.

COMPACT AND CUSTOMIZED PLANT

1

Plants designed with BioFlocs MBR are highly compact and efficient. The foot print occupied by these plants is fraction of that used by any other contemporary technology. In such a low space the Hollow Fiber laden reactor offers superior organic and nutrient removal.

Shown opposite is a highly compact plant which can handle sewage generated 5000 liter per day. Plants comes complete with all the pumps, blower and its control system. This is one of the configuration for BioFlocs-MBR. Reciclar Technologies can design Custom built plants for most stringent of site conditions.

Plants can be customized to suit the actual site conditions. 3D modeling service offered by Reciclar Technologies provides client with near accurate idea of final site layout once the plant is installed, this saves precious land for other use.

Package plants come in ready to use condition. On skid piping, plumbing and wiring reduce on site installation and commissioning time.

AUTOMATION AND REMOTE OPERATION CAPABILITIES

integrated-circuit-board-macro

BioFlocs MBR systems are fully automated system. All system operations are controlled using interlocks of sensors and switches. Operations like input of fresh water in Bioreactor, Filtration, Backwashing are controlled using a PLC. Custom automation can also be done for low flow operations during holiday season using in-built programmable features. Flexible PLC platform allows for any other customized programming according to the site condition.

Remote operation capabilities can also be integrated in automation so that plant can be monitored and controlled remotely using normal GSM based cellular device.

Available space for wastewater Treatment plants and especially sewage treatment plants is reducing everyday. Today's project need to meet tomorrows need with fraction of space available for plant installation. Using latest tools, our team engages with the client to make sure that the final design occupies the least space.
